Lead data scientist to build and shape the future of ML and advanced fraud detection in the company. High impact and room to grow

Job description

In your role you will be in charge of researching and improving the overall performance of the Identiq network and its ability to deliver value, including its ability to process data, identify good users, or detect anomalies while preserving privacy, as well as defining and optimizing the scores and signals delivered to the users of the Identiq network. You will be working closely with engineering, product, analytics teams, to deliver solutions to some of the largest corporations and brands in the world. RESPONSIBILITIES Research and develop state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to solve business problems in the identity validation and fraud prevention domain Solve new data science and machine learning related problems, developing methods for working with large quantities of data, but without seeing the data itself Mentor team members. Define, innovate and improve data science practices processes and tools from research to deployment Shaping the business, data science and research directions Collaborate with the product, analytics and engineering team to solve complex problems and deliver a scalable high-performing solution running in real-time and high-volume Able and willing to take hands-on data science and research responsibilities

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS Msc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent, preferably with a focus in machine learning/data science AI 5+ years of relevant work experience in data science and machine learning Experience managing data science teams Experience in fraud prevention, risk management or similar industries - a significant advantage Solid understanding of the statistical, theoretical background of ML solution, as well as data science best-practices Experience in deploying machine learning products in a live production environment Expertise in coding in at least one major programming language (e.g. Python, C++ or Java) Team player, responsible, delivery-oriented Good communication skills, ability to clearly explain complex concepts Creative thinker with a proven ability to innovate through data exploration and application of advanced solutions Experience with NLP, Graph Theory and Anomaly Detection - an advantage
